This is a full-time, on-site hybrid position in Miami.

Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control & Compliance Manager who will lead the company’s global apparel quality control and product compliance program from development through bulk production and shipment. Establish and maintain quality standards, inspection protocols, testing requirements, supplier performance expectations, and corrective-action processes. Lead the overseas QC network and partner with factories, laboratories, third-party inspection providers, and internal teams to protect product quality, regulatory compliance, customer requirements, and on-time delivery.

What you will do:

  • Own and continuously improve Quality Control manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), inspection protocols, workmanship standards, measurement tolerances, and escalation procedures.
  • Lead, coach, and coordinate the global QC team; establish priorities, inspection coverage, reporting standards, training, and consistent execution across sourcing countries.
  • Oversee pre-production, inline, pre-final, and final inspections using company/customer requirements and recognized sampling methodologies (including AQL, where applicable).
  • Review third-party and internal inspection reports; make or recommend shipment release, hold, re-inspection, or corrective-action decisions within established authority.
  • Own corrective and preventive action (CAPA) for quality failures. Require root-cause analysis, documented recovery plans, verification of effectiveness, and timely closure of repeat issues.
  • Partner with factories and sourcing teams to maintain accurate WIP/quality status, identify risks early, and escalate issues that could affect quality, compliance, cost, or delivery.
  • Review finished-garment construction, measurements, workmanship, trims, labeling, packaging, and other product requirements against approved specifications and customer standards.
  • Coordinate product testing with approved laboratories and suppliers, including performance, colorfastness, dimensional stability, fiber/content, flammability, chemical, and other tests required by product category, customer, or market.
  • Maintain product-compliance controls for applicable U.S. and customer requirements, including CPSC/CPSIA requirements, CPC/GCC documentation, tracking labels, FTC labeling rules, restricted-substance requirements, and other applicable federal/state requirements.
  • Monitor restricted substances and chemical compliance using the company/customer RSL and recognized apparel-industry resources; coordinate failures, retesting, supplier corrective action, and documentation retention.
  • Manage relationships and performance with third-party inspection and testing providers such as UL, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, QIMA, or equivalent providers; ensure service quality, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead regular factory quality evaluations and supplier improvement initiatives. Partner with suppliers to strengthen in-process controls, reduce recurring defects, and improve first-pass quality.
  • Manage all factory and mill compliance on boarding documentation, including and not limited to CTPAT, social compliance certifications, individual customer certifications such as Walmart, Costco, FOL & Kontoor.
  • Manage and assure all procedures for reporting yearly certifications are on yearly basis.
  • Develop supplier quality scorecards and analyze defect, inspection, testing, return/claim, and CAPA trends. Present clear monthly reporting, risks, priorities, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage the QC operating budget and review monthly quality-control expenses for accuracy, trends, and opportunities to improve cost effectiveness.
  • Support customer quality/compliance requests, audits, and investigations; maintain organized records that demonstrate conformity to company and customer requirements.
  • Partner cross-functionally on new suppliers, new product categories, high-risk programs, and quality issues requiring technical or commercial decisions.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for material product-quality and product-compliance issues and communicate risk clearly to Sourcing and business leadership.
  • Balance quality, compliance, delivery, and commercial considerations without compromising required safety or regulatory standards.
  • Build accountability within the QC team and supplier base through documented standards, consistent follow-up, and fact-based performance reviews.
  • Drive prevention, not only detection, by using inspection and testing data to identify systemic causes and improve factory processes.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in textiles, apparel, engineering, supply chain, quality, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive apparel quality, manufacturing, or product-compliance experience, including 3+ years leading teams or multi-country QC operations.
  • Strong experience with overseas apparel factories and full-package manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and vendor-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Data-driven problem solving and sound judgment.
  • High attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple programs and make timely escalation decisions.
  • Professional, trustworthy, collaborative, and comfortable working across cultures and time zones.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Apparel construction, fit/measurement, fabrics, trims, workmanship, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
    • Inspection planning and AQL methodology; root-cause analysis and CAPA.
    • Product testing and regulatory/compliance fundamentals applicable to apparel.
    • Experience with third-party labs/inspection firms. Inspectorio or similar digital quality platform preferred.
    • Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills; PLM/ERP familiarity preferred
