Division Overview

Indera Mills was incorporated in Winston Salem, North Carolina in 1914 by Francis Henry Fries. From the beginning, Indera has been a vertically integrated apparel manufacturer. The Indera Mills mission is to be the premier thermal underwear supplier in the U.S. by offering the best product value: style and quality at a very competitive price.

As one of the three largest suppliers of thermal underwear products in the world, we count 5,000 retail customers in the U.S. We are unique in that we only produce and distribute thermal underwear. As such, the company is completely focused year-round on fulfilling the needs of our customers.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Yadkinville, NC M-F from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. 

Job Purpose

Performs various Shipping clerical tasks such as; printing BOLs, attaching packing slips/tracking numbers, responding to emails, entering missed pickups, and a wide variety of other DC operational processes that relates to shipping.

Duties
  • Awareness of pending shipments, when they ship, why they didn’t ship, and when will they ship
  • Entry and follow up of Shipping Tickets entered through customer portal
  • Responds to requests regarding order status, or special requests
  • Interacts with other DC departments to have awareness of challenges and delays that can alter a load from shipping on time, particularly when they are Expedite and parcel shipments
  • Performs supportive administrative functions such as: dispatch, data entry, BOL, reporting, etc.
  • Assists in Expedite shipping process, which can include labeling pallets with tracking labels , scheduling pickups, coordinating loading, attaching packing slips, etc.
  • Updates shipping logs
  • Timely responses to emails and requests
  • Keeping track of orders pending parcel shipping instructions, and working with Parcel processing team and Pick and Pack team to ensure orders shipped on time, and per instructions
  • Assist in closing order orders in WMS
  • Provides support to other Shipping Office duties as needed.

Skills/Qualifications
  •  Ability to work in fast-paced environment, multi-task ability, and communication skills (both verbal and written),
  • Experience with Parcel, TL, and LTL shipping,
  • WMS experience
  • Available to work extended hours or weekends and other shifts as needed,
  • Computer literate, understand how to use MS Office (excel, word, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and team player
  • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds
  • Possess a high school diploma or higher degree
